Transformations of Landscape and Form

The Permanent Exhibition represents part of the rich collection fund of the Highland Gallery. The items in the exhibition rooms introduce us to the leading representatives of the classicist period of Czech sculpture  -  Josef  Mařatka, Josef Václav Myslbek, Karel Pokorný, Jan ŠtursaVincenc Makovský and others. The whole exhibition is supplemented by paintings by Oldřich Blažíček, Josef Jambor, Bohdan Lacina, Karel Němec, Alois Podloucký and others.

Continuing up to the second floor, we can see a selection of works from artists who were born in the Highlands, or had a lifelong attachment to the region. Apart from the famous artists of the area - Oldřich Blažíček, Josef Jambor, Bohdan Lacina, there are paintings by Rudolf Hanych, Pavel Kopáček, Bohumír Matal and Michal Ranný installed here.
